Tall Oval Anatomical Implants: When Are They Considered?
A tall oval implant is one footprint option, not a universally superior implant.
What does tall oval mean?
The vertical footprint is greater than its width. Projection, gel, pocket position and the patient's own tissue influence the result as much as the shape label.
Who may be considered?
A taller footprint may sometimes suit a long torso, a large clavicle-to-breast distance or a deflated envelope needing volume across a greater vertical height. These are planning clues, not automatic indications.
What it cannot solve alone
An implant cannot reliably correct marked skin laxity, a low nipple, a constricted base or a displaced inframammary fold. A lift, tissue release, fold reconstruction or staged treatment may matter more than implant shape.
Trade-offs
Anatomical implants can rotate, and surface availability varies by product and country. A stable pocket and suitable tissue cover are essential. Breast implants are not lifetime devices.
This is general information; implant selection requires examination and shared decision-making.
